People of Praise Service - 9:00 a.m.
Contemporary style service led musically by The Praise Team, a group of vocalists and musicians that play drums, lead and bass guitars, and keyboard.
Traditional Worship Service - 10:45 a.m.
Traditional worship service led in musical arrangements by the First Christian Church Chancel Choir.

Upcoming Meetings & Events
March 28 (Saturday) - The church will feed the home bound and less fortunate through The Loaves and Fishes Project. A sign up sheet is available in the annex to participate. Kitchen help and/or drivers/delivers are always needed. Start time is 9:00 a.m. at Project Concern.
March 29 (Sunday) - Palm Sunday services. Children & youth will wave palms in a plam processional at the beginning of both services.
March 29 (Sunday) - There will be a luncheon at 11:45 a.m. to celebrate the baptism class of 2015. Participants and their families will be guests at the luncheon to be held in Wolf Hall.
March 29 (Sunday) - The baptism of the 2015 Baptism class will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Annex. Friends and family are invited to attend.
April 2 (Thursday) - Maundy Thursday service. Celebrating The Upper Room - "In Remembrance of Jesus". This service starts at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Communion will be served and special music will be performed by the Chancel Choir.
April 3 (Friday) - Good Friday Tenebrae Service to be held in the sanctuary starting at 8:00 p.m. This service is a service of shadows with the extinguishing of candles. Special music will be provided by the Chancel Choir.
April 3 -4 (Friday - Saturday) - 24-Hour Prayer Vigil. The 24-Hour Prayer Vigil begins at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd and continues through 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4th. The Vigil will help focus our spiritual preperation for the celebration of Easter - a time for prayer and reflection of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. The chapel will be set up as the PRAYER CENTER with a prayer guide available as well as communion. The Vigil is set up into 1/2 hour intervals (BUT WE ENCOURGE YOU TO TAKE MORE THAN ONE SLOT IF POSSIBLE) and you may sign up on the sheet in the annex or call the church office @ 913-367-3036 and Rosie will help find a time for you.
April 5 (Sunday) - Easter Sunday. Sunrise Service will be held in the sanctuary starting at 6:30 a.m. Easter breakfast will be served in Wolf Hall from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. The People of Praise Service will be held at it's normal time of 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. The Traditional Worship service will be held at its normal time starting at 10:45 a.m. in the sanctuary.
April 11 (Saturday) - Movie Night! The movie Frozen! will be shown at the church starting at 7:00 p.m. Please enter through the back door off of the parking lot. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This movie is free for all attendees.
April 14 (Tuesday) - Monthly Board meetings. For scheduled times, see notice below on this page.
24 Hour Prayer Vigil is coming!
The 24 Hour prayer vigil will begin at 9 pm on Friday, April 3, 2015 and continue through 9 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2015. The Vigil will focus our spiritual preparation for the celebration of Easter – time for prayer and reflection of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. The chapel at the church
will be set up as the PRAYER CENTER with a prayer guide available as well as communion. The VIGIL is set up into ½ hour intervals (but we encourage you to take more than one slot if possible). There is a sign-up sheet on the wooden table in the annex.

The Sewing Group meets at 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the month in Wolf Hall.

Jack's thought of the day -
It’s not too early to think about the 2015 Spirit Fests for Kansas Women, “Finding Our Voices”, sponsored by Kansas Disciples Women. It’s being held on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 1:30-6:30 pm in Topeka West Side CC. Workshops will include Celebrating Families, Violence and Bullying in School, Prayer, and Bible Study on NT Women. Registration with $15.00 payment is due in the Topeka office by April 4th. It is for all age women of the church (young, middle life, and seasoned women). Rosie has the forms in the church office or I can be reached at 367-5251 or by email. All women of the church are invited to the CWF Meeting on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm. We will be finalizing plans for the Soup and Sermon that we’ll host on March 11th at the Atchison United Methodist Church. We will enjoy, after our meeting, fellowship, a lesson, and a dessert reception, so please join us if you can.

The goal of the Christian Education Ministry Team is to increase the number of youth within our church to attend camp, especially including less active and/or unchurched youth in our community.
This opportunity to expand the youth involvement
in church camp has been made possible through
memorial funds from Shirley Hale and Wanda Underwood.

Young at Heart to Disband
The Young at Heart 55+ group has decided to DISCONTINUE meeting. The numbers have dropped tremendously in the last couple of months. The group started meeting on May 14th, 2007 and over the years gave $1,969.41 to the Food Pantry and $845.63 to the church for paper supplies.
FCC Atchison Youth Group
Youth Group Schedule: Grades 6-8 & 9-12
Sunday, March 22 - 11:45 am - Potato Bar in Wolf Hall to raise money for the summer mission trip. The Youth Group will have an OUTING after the cleanup has been done.
April 12 (Sunday) - Youth Group will meet from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in Wolf Hall. NEED LESSON LEADERS for CHI RHO DISCUSSION.

Elders meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel.
