Membership Ministry Trip Plans Annual BRANSON TRIP
We will leave on October 1st and return on 3rd. Reservations have been made at the Stone Castle Hotel and we have reserved the church bus.
We will see one show on the 1st in the evening and two shows on the 2nd.
If anyone wants to shop at the Landing, that can be arranged. Also this year we will plan to go to Dick's Five and Dime again.
Sign-ups will be held open for church members until August 1st and after that spaces will be available for others. A deposit of $75 per person will be required at sign-up. Sign-ups can be made to Rosie or to me. Refunds can be made until September 1st, at which time final payment is due. After that date, refunds can be made only if the space can be filled.
The cost is $152 per room for the two nights. Cost for gas
will be $20 per person. The shows are just under $40 each. Won't have the exact amount until after we book the shows because some of them give a group rate. As soon as we get that total, an updated note will be published in the Christian Visitor and bulletin.

Education For Ministry (EFM) Registrations Due Soon!
EFM is a worldwide program developed by the School of Theology of The University of the South and is for the laity of the church. Thousands of persons have completed this four-year program. Students enroll one year at a time; the first year is study of the Old Testament; the second year the New Testament; third year study of church history; and fourth year study of
theology and ethics. This is not a regular bible study. It is an in-depth theological reflection of the past and present times.
Here is a link to the EFM website for more information: http://www.sewanee.edu/EFM/index.htm.
Attending the EFM class takes time and commitment so prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to be involved.
Our Mentor is Helen Birkinsha. For more information, including a prospectus and/or a brochure, contact Helen at 913-426-1751. The cost of the EFM Program is $350 and the church will pay ½ of this fee. We need your registration ASAP!
Jack's thought of the day -
